Maya + Aaron's Wedding
Maya & Aaron tied the knot on October 13th, 2012 at the St Louis Cathedral, with their reception following at The Musee Conti Wax Museum in New Orleans, LA. The couple and all of their guests traveled from up north to be down south for their destination wedding. There were tons of southern touches, such as a second line, jumping of the broom, A brass band, and a surprise choreographed first dance. Maya & Aaron may not have been from New Orleans, but they sure can party like they are natives. They were so laid back and very photogenic, which made for outstanding photos.

How they met:
Maya and her friend were at happy hour at Alero Restaurant and Bar on U Street in DC. The bartender came over to Maya, handed her a bar napkin, and said, "The guy in the blue shirt told me to give this to you." Maya opens the napkin and to her surprise it says, "Hi, what's your name? My name is Aaron." Maya thought, as she grinned, "Who sends an elementary school note like that?" No one had ever written her a silly note like this. She's intrigued, so she leans back to look down the bar to find this mystery guy in the blue shirt. She's thinking, "Please let him be cute, please let him be cute....OH!!! He's cute!" Then she immediately tells her friend to get up and go to the bathroom so she can talk to this guy. As soon as she left, Aaron walks over and says, "Hi, I'm Aaron." They had a quick chat, exchanged information and went out on a date the very next day! And the rest is history!
